I know there is an infinite number of ways to make money online and am always thrilled when I hear another way that smart, creative people have discovered to increase their income.
Once you get exposed to one of these methods, you quickly realize that there is a huge community of these people who network online, write books and share their wisdom with anyone who is willing to spend a little time reading a blog or book. But the Catch-22 is that you have no clue this community exists until you unwittingly stumble upon it.
Since I am always open to these money making stories, I seem to stumble upon more than the average person. I spent a delightful evening at a dinner party recently and was seated next to a charming Biblical scholar and author Philip Stine and as the conversation progressed about self publishing, print on demand and many other topics, we also discovered that Phil’s daughter is an author as well. So here is the Catch-22, if you don’t know what FBA is then of course you would never go search for her book or consider it as a potential source of income. FBA is “Fulfillment by Amazon” which enables merchants to store inventory and fulfill orders from an Amazon.com fulfillment center. What I was surprised to learn is that there is an army of folks in the USA who spend their time going to retail stores and scouting for great deals, purchasing those items and sending them to amazon.com to be sold online for a profit. Amazon handles the sales and shipping in the “Fulfillment by Amazon” or “FBA” program.
This is not a get rich quick scheme and involves leg work and investing a small amount of money in some resources, but overall this is one smart, creative and easy way to make money.
I have long been a fan of the Amazon Marketplace and been a seller on there for many years, but until this weekend the FBA method was not on my radar. I still marvel everyday at the endless supply of money making opportunities online like blogging and affiliate marketing and I am happy to now be in the know about FBA.
